Main Bead Embroidery Kit Wild poppies – 3

“Wild poppies – 3” is the third subject in the series: two red poppies above and a large crimson one below, with a white daisy beside them and a pink plume of small blossoms rising alongside.

What the picture shows

The upper flowers are painted in a warm red-orange range, with clearly creased petals and dark centres. The lower poppy is a saturated crimson, almost fuchsia, with a broad black heart. To its right stand a white daisy with a yellow centre and a pale pink spike of tiny blooms. Everything rests on dense green foliage with cut edges, among which round buds show. Beads cover the flowers, the buds and the leaves, while the grey-blue sky above stays as print on the canvas. The upper poppies lean slightly toward each other, with a green bud on a long stalk standing between them. The foliage below is given in several planes, from pale lime to almost dark green in the shade. A thin branch shows through the leaves at the lower right, carrying the pink plume.
