Main Bead Embroidery Kit Wild poppies – 1

“Wild poppies – 1” is a vertical bouquet of two large red poppies and one pink one, with white daisies swaying above them on thin stems. Summer mood straight from the edge of a field track.

What the picture shows

The largest poppy opens almost head-on: deeply creased petals run from fiery red to dark cherry in the shadows, with a black centre and a green seed pod inside. Below and to the left blooms a pale pink poppy with the same dark heart. Above, against a blue sky, three daisies show white petals and yellow centres. Green cut leaves rise from the bottom of the frame. Beads cover the flowers, the leaves and the buds, while the sky stays as print on the canvas, which makes the red read even stronger. The poppy stems are downy and stitched in a lighter tone than the leaves. The daisies are set on a diagonal, so the eye travels down from them straight to the largest red bloom. The lowest pink poppy tilts aside, so the reverse of its petals shows. A long green leaf rises to its right.
