Main Bead Embroidery Kit Provence – 2

“Provence – 2” continues the series: the same plum table, now with a yellow painted jug, anemones in a basket and a peony with tulips. The palette is pink and cream, calm and a little old-fashioned.

What the picture shows

The composition is built on three heights. On the left stands a tall cream-yellow jug with painted flowers and a butterfly on its side, and in front of it a woven basket of pink and white anemones with dark centres. In the middle rises a white and green porcelain candlestick shaped like a tiered pagoda; on the right a pale vase holds a large pink peony and tulips, with two grey stone bird figurines beside it. The background is wallpaper with faded pink roses. Beads cover the flowers, the painting on the jug, the openwork tiers of the candlestick, the figurines and the golden ornament on the front of the table; the wallpaper and the tabletop stay as print, so the bouquets look rounded against a soft ground.
