Main Bead Embroidery Kit Sunny etude – 3

“Sunny etude – 3” is a warm still life with sprays of soft cream and peach blossoms in a round clay jug. Everything is kept in honey and golden tones, as if the room were filled with late afternoon sun.

What the picture shows

The composition is vertical and compact: the low brown glazed jug stands in the centre, a tall narrow vase with a slender neck rises behind it, and branches of open flowers spread out to both sides. The petals are cream with a peach glow, the centres a deep red, the leaves small and grass green. Two single blooms lie straight on the table, one by the jug and one by the vase, and they are what balances the bouquet at the bottom. The background is a pale yellow wall with a faint damask pattern, and a narrow ornamental band runs along the lower edge. Beads cover the flowers, the leaves, both vessels and that lower border; the background stays as print on the canvas, so the petals step forward and shimmer against the matte yellow.
