Main Bead Embroidery Kit Vanilla

“Vanilla” shows a woman standing with her back to us at an open window, with an old palace visible across the water. The subject is calm, almost silent, held in a warm honey palette.

What the picture shows

The figure occupies the lower right of the canvas: a dark dress with an open back and a large pattern, hair gathered into a high knot with a white flower, one hand resting on the sill. Dense red curtains with golden ornament fall on either side, and a white balustrade brightens the foreground. Beyond it, across the water, stands the facade of a long building with arched windows and a terrace, while water and sky merge into a single amber light with no harsh shadows. The colours are chosen with restraint: brick red, warm beige, olive brown and gold. Beadwork covers the dress, the hair, the curtains, the balustrade and the palace facade, while the sky, the water and the bare back stay as print on the canvas.
