Main Bead Embroidery Kit Dolphins

“Dolphins” is an underwater scene viewed as if through a large round opening in a ship’s wooden side. Two dolphins rise towards the light, and a calf keeps close by.

What the picture shows

At the centre is a clear blue body of water with sunbeams falling from above and scattering into small bubbles. Two large dolphins swim to left and right, half turned towards each other, with silvery grey backs and pale bellies; a small dolphin appears at the lower right. The floor and the edges of the opening are covered by a coral garden: pink, lilac, yellow and green branches, weeds, and a small striped fish at the upper left. The frame is made of warm wooden planks with metal rivets that contrast with the cold blue. Beadwork covers the dolphins, the corals, the bubbles and the planked frame, while the depth of the water with its light rays stays largely as print on the canvas, so the light keeps its smooth gradient.
