Main Bead Embroidery Kit Alupka
Description
“Alupka” is a southern landscape seen through a stone arch overgrown with red flowers. Beyond the arch opens a bay of turquoise water, mountains on the horizon and the roofs of small houses running down to the sea.
What the picture shows
The left of the canvas is old masonry covered with ivy and pink and red blossom; on the right stands a massive pier of the arch with a lantern and a twisting vine, and beside it a large pot of red flowers and a thick bush of yellow sunflowers. A cobbled path with small stones lies along the bottom. Through the opening you can see a tiled roof, cypresses, the curve of the shore and pale buildings on the slope. Beads cover all the flowers — red, pink and yellow — the green foliage, the pot, the lantern and parts of the stonework, while the sea, the mountains, the sky and the distant houses stay as print on the artist canvas, so the depth of the landscape holds and the foreground steps forward.
