Main Bead Embroidery Kit Andante

“Andante” is a vertical composition in the colour of aged paper: a close-up guitar, a yellowed sheet of music with a song title, and a few red roses near the lower edge. The mood is retro, quiet and a little nostalgic.

What the picture shows

The dark brown body of the guitar takes up almost half the canvas on the right, its waist curving away, the pale fretboard above it showing strings and frets clearly. On the left is a page of old sheet music with a printed heading, a stave and lines of lyrics; the paper is a warm sandy-peach tone with faint marks of age. Two open red roses with dark green leaves lie along the bottom, and a piece of a golden brass instrument shows beside them. The beadwork covers the guitar, the fretboard and strings, the roses and the leaves, while the sheet music and the old paper texture stay as print on the artist canvas — so the guitar reads as a dense dark mass against the light ground and the flowers give the one bright accent.
