Main Bead Embroidery Kit Jesus

“Jesus” is a narrow vertical icon showing Christ at full length: his right hand raised in blessing, an open book in his left. The tall, slim format keeps the figure calm and solemn.

What the picture shows

The garments work on contrast — a deep red mantle with heavy folds over a pale, almost cream tunic lit with gold. A warm golden halo with a thin rim and rays frames the face, which, along with the hands and the pages of the book, stays as print on the canvas. Beadwork covers the robes, the halo, the book and the two side panels, where pale plant scrolls curl over a dark red ground, while cream inserts with a central diamond close the image at top and bottom. With only ten colours the pattern reads clearly, without fine gradients, and the chart never becomes confusing to follow. The beads run in even rows along the folds, so the cloak reads as heavy fabric falling downward.
