Main Bead Embroidery Kit Sakura

“Sakura” shows a girl in a red kimono with a parasol standing under a blossoming cherry tree while petals drift around her. A contemplative piece in lilac and pink.

What the picture shows

The crown of the sakura runs right across the canvas: pink-and-white blossom at the upper left gradually gives way to bare dark branches on the right, where the heavy trunk appears. The girl is seen from behind, in a long red kimono with a wide sash, holding a patterned blue-and-yellow parasol. The path is pale, green grass runs along both sides of it, and a bush with large pink flowers stands to the right. The background is pale and misty, with almost no detail. Beads cover the blossom, the petals in the air, the kimono, the parasol, the trunk and the greenery; the sky and the distance stay as print, so the blossom glows against a soft ground. The red kimono is the only saturated spot and it anchors the whole composition. Petals are scattered right across the field, out to the right-hand edge.
