Description

“Butterfly” is a large flame-orange iris seen close up, with two butterflies with purple and pink wings settled on it and below it.

What the picture shows

The frame is taken very close, so the flower fills almost the whole canvas: the wavy petals, shot through with orange, coral and gold, open to their full width, and behind them a few more irises can be made out, one dark burgundy and one greenish. The background splits into two zones, hot orange above and juicy green below, with a thin green border along the edge. Beads cover both butterflies completely — the patterned wings, the bodies and the fine curled antennae — along with the light on the petals and a few accents on the leaves. The flower itself stays as painting, which is why the butterflies look as though they had really landed on it. There are only five bead colours, and the kit is easy in difficulty.
